Here is some info on a new (2017) book on the Army Air Force Band.
It, as you can see, is titled "Glenn Miller Declassified" and is by Dennis M. Spragg.
I haven't had time to read much yet but thought any Glenn Miller fan might like to know about it.
It is newly published by Potomac Books, An Imprint Of The University Of Nebraska Press.
Hardback, 386 pp., $34.95 and is about the military aspect of Miller's career.
The ISBN number for the hardback is 978-1-61234-895-7.

RCA Victor LPT-6702 - an album of 5 12" LPs released in 1955.
It was released later as a boxed set of 5 LPs, RCA Victor LPM-6700,
and as Book-Of-The-Month 41-6661 with all titles on four LPs. I'm
sure there were others. RCA released it on compact disc as Bluebird
09026-63852-2 without the editing that went into the original and
with extra material. It is worth getting if you don't already have it.
RCA Victor LPT-6702 is the album that reintroduced America
to the music of Glenn Miller's Army Air Force Band.
Music little heard since World War II.

Listen to each side here as issued.
