The first four recordings in this list are primarily of historical interest only. Musically, I feel that they all leave something to be desired.
1. The FIRST electrical recording released by Columbia. 10" record. The record heard here has a Flag label.
2. The earliest made, but not the first electrical recordings released by Victor. 12" record. Bat Wing labels.
3. Side A of Victor 19626, a 10" double-sided record that was the FIRST electrically recorded record issued by Victor.
The recording heard here was taken from a white label single-sided sample pressing. This recording
was evidently approved on Mar 26 1925 by JWA (See label scan). Approved for what I do not know.
4. Side B of Victor 19626 recorded four days after Side A. I obtained this one from a podcast so no label scan yet.

The Raven was issued on two 10" picture discs. Parts 1 and 2 of the recording below were taken from a white label "shellac"
pressing, not a picture disc. Side 1 is Take 2. Side 2 is Take 3. Evidently the performance was filmed and record masters made from
film. FRC masters made from film on Dec 9, 1932 and BS masters on Feb 10, 1933. Album released on Apr 21, 1933.
When filming took place and what the take numbers mean, who knows? And if films were made, do they still exist?
